The goal of the Flight Projects Directorate is to develop a collection of people engaged in work and communication patterns to effectively and efficiently produce the required results. FPD leaders promote communication and assist to ensure that project requirements are met.

FPD uses an integrated approach to science, engineering, safety, and mission assurance, and management which enables us to take on and accomplish the most challenging of missions. FPD partners with other Goddard's directorates to accomplish the goals of NASA science.

JWST
